What Affects the Price of a Security Screen?
Two doors that look similar from the outside can have quite different installation requirements. The product you choose is important, but it is only one part of the final price.
The type of security screen
Different products use different materials and construction methods.
Diamond Grille provides an economical barrier-screen option, while Xceed and SecureView are aimed at customers wanting a higher level of security and a more modern appearance.
SecureView Saltwater Series costs a little more again because it is designed for harsher coastal environments.
The size of the opening
Most advertised starting prices are based on a reasonably standard door or window size.
Wider and taller doors require more material and may also need additional framing or hardware. This is particularly relevant with some large entry doors, pivot doors and oversized sliding doors.
Hinged and sliding doors
The way the existing door operates can also affect the finished security screen.

Build-outs and installation clearance
Sometimes there is not enough room to install a security door into the existing recess.
